Islamia College of Science & Commerce, an institution accredited with a NAAC Re-Accredited Grade ‘A’ and affiliated with the University of Kashmir, has officially announced the opening of online applications for its prestigious Two-Year Full-Time Masters of Business Administration (MBA) for the batch of 2024.
Eligibility Criteria:
Prospective students must have a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Arts, Science, Social Science, Commerce, or any other degree recognized by the University of Kashmir as equivalent, including qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Cost & Works Accountants, and Company Secretaries of India. Open merit candidates should have secured at least 50% marks, while reserved category candidates need a minimum of 45% in aggregate at the Bachelor’s Degree Level.
Mode of Selection:
Admission to the MBA program will be based on the aspirant’s performance in the Common Management Admission Test 2024 (CMAT-2024) conducted by the National Testing Agency. If there is a tie in the CMAT score, graduation marks will be considered. Further ties will be resolved by giving preference to older candidates based on Date of Birth.
Application Process:
Candidates must fill out an online selection form on the official college website and upload a recent passport-size photograph. It’s vital to ensure that the information entered in the selection form is accurate as no changes will be permitted post-submission.
Important Dates:
- Opening Date of Admission Portal: 28th of June 2024
- Closing Date of Admission Portal for Selection Forms: 22nd of July 2024
- Tentative Date for Issuance of Merit List: 25th of July 2024
Application Fee:
An application processing fee of Rs. 200/-, which is non-refundable, is required to be paid through online modes like Credit Card or Debit Card.
Reservation Policy and Documents Submission:
In adherence to the reservation policy of UT of J&K, 10% of seats are reserved under the Self Finance Category. Applicants must submit hard copies of necessary documents to the Admission Section of the College within the stipulated timeframe for consideration in the selection process.
Failure to Submit Documentation:
Applicants who fail to submit hardcopies of the required documents within the given timeframe will not be considered for the selection process. Furthermore, no selection forms will be accepted post the closure date of 22nd of July 2024.
Admission Formalities:
Selected candidates must complete admission formalities within 7 working days from the issuance of the selection list. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the seat, which will then be offered to the next eligible candidate.
